U.S. PIRG Education Fund Staff
Michelle Surka is a Tax and Budget Advocate with US PIRG, based in Boston. She conducts research, speaks with media, and builds support amongst a broad array of organizations to move forward on issues like closing corporate tax loopholes and advocating for more government transparency. She has been interviewed on public radio and appeared in publications such as USA Today, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Michelle graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in International Relations. She has also interned with Corporate Accountability International and Massachusetts Peace Action, where she worked to represent the public interest in issues like international tobacco control and nuclear weapons proliferation respectively.
